After last night's !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! dissapointment followed by reality check (and some slight arguments), it's been determined that I am to be plagued with this CR-V. When I actually took a bit to get lost in it (the Cebu Way of finding your way around isn't that efficient, frankly), I came to the startling conclusion that, hey, it isn't that bad. The chassis and steering are surprisingly communicative, and when you catch the slushbox in the right gear, you might even be able to overtake something. It even gets up to a blistering four-and-a-half thousand RPM, but only every other Tuesday.

Since I came up with its Name last night, I've been trying to figure out some way of communicating to those in the know that I'm not some thankless idiot, I'm actually a Motoring Enthusiast just stuck with a boringish car. The best I've came up with (besides the obligatory Oppo sticker) is foglights (actually useful where I live) and the above bumper sticker. If not fully informative, it does at least provide a flight of fancy to an otherwise dull car.

2nd gen CR-Vs aren't bad. Had a 2005 myself. Just beware of the rear end noises.

I like the emblem, makes me giggle the way the one on the back of my Camry does.

All CUVs look better lowered. I'm sure there's springs out there for something as popular as the CRV so you wouldn't even need them custom wound. The other obvious things are exhaust and wheels.

If you're short on dough the exhaust can usually be done cheaply with crush bends and an off the shelf muffler at any local shop. Wheels grabbed on craigslist or from a pick and pull. Springs can be a bit expensive for the install, but the parts themselves aren't bad if you can do the install yourself.

Quick GIS shows lots of lowered guys. Kinda looks like a Subaru if you squint:
